Laryssa Kim, an Italo-Congolese singer and composer now based in Brussels (BE), stands out as a unique artist who skillfully synthesizes diverse musical influences, seamlessly bridging the realms of academia and worldly expression. Her musical journey began in Rome (IT), collaborating with reggae musicians and DJs, and evolved in Amsterdam (NL), where she immersed herself in contemporary dance and physical theatre.

After completing a master's program in acousmatic music composition in Mons (BE), she established her own artistic project, showcasing a passionate and mesmerizing musical landscape that blends her voice, electronic elements, and instrumental motifs. Her debut EP, Lov'em All, released in 2019, received widespread acclaim, leading to performances across Belgium and recognition in club culture circles. Simultaneously, Laryssa Kim is actively engaged as a composer for dance, theatre, and video, with upcoming commissions from prominent institutions such as KVS, Viernulvier, Kaaitheater, deSingel, Detheatermaker, vrt, and rtbf. Her second instrumental EP, Submarine Thoughts, released in 2022, further demonstrates her versatility and creative depth.

Described by Pitchfork as an "exploration of the limits of the unconscious," her debut album Contezza, released in 2024 through the Belgian imprint City Tracks , received outstanding attention from both the public and the press.
